fieldSENSE60 & fieldSENSE 2.0

Designed for RF Tower Technicians’ RF safety

Safety is of the utmost importance when working around transmitting antennas. As a radio frequency (RF) worker or tower climber, you need assurance that you’re not exposed to high levels of electromagnetic radiation while working. RF workers and tower climbers globally rely on FieldSENSE personal RF monitors to help them stay safe while working.

FieldSENSE’s personal RF monitors are robust, unobtrusive, and easy-to-use making them ideal for a variety of situations. Designed with the climber in mind, they’re compact and easy to reach, yet pack a punch with their advanced technology.

This means you can keep your monitor close at hand while you’re working and quickly check your exposure level at a glance. Moreover, they clip onto your harness with a coiled tether, so you don’t have to worry about them getting in the way or dropping from a height.

The fieldSENSE60 is the next generation of personal RF monitors. It has been specifically designed to protect you from RF overexposure. It has you covered across the entire 5G frequency spectrum from 50 MHz to 60 GHz. Plus, you’re always informed of your safety status as an alarm will sound immediately as you get near to, or exceeded the permissible exposure limits.

fieldSENSE60

Recommended retail price: USD 799

The fieldSENSE60, with extended frequency range of 50 MHz – 60 GHz, is specifically designed to include 5G mmWave for usage by climbers, rooftop workers and bucket truck workers. In-built E- & H-field probes ensure exposure is accurately and correctly assessed, whether in the near-field of a broadcast system or in the far-field of a 5G system.

fieldSENSE 2.0

Recommended retail price: USD 599

The fieldSENSE 2.0 has a proven track record of ensuring on-site employee safety. The frequency range covers 50 MHz – 6 GHz, which covers all typical television and FM radio broadcast services and mobile telecommunications services amongst others. Exposure is accurately assessed, and a warning is sounded, should the levels approach and exceed the occupational limits.

Product Features

The all-weather IP64 rated fieldSENSE60 comes encased in a compact, zipper case with a shock proof polyurethane custom-moulded inner that ensures device protection during transit or in storage.

Isotropic

Six orthogonal E- and H-field probes ensure that the combination of all sources of radiation from all angles are correctly measured and assessed in accordance with safety limits.

User Interface

High brightness amber LED indicators for direct sunlight visibility and a loud buzzer to ensure you won’t miss a thing. Additionally, it is specifically designed to be operated whilst wearing gloves.

Rugged IP64 & IK08 Enclosure

Co-molded enclosure with a base layer of polycarbonate – typically used in riot shields – and an outer elastomer layer made of TPU which is designed for hard wearing environments. The design provides for IP64 dust & moisture ingress rating as well as IK08 impact protection.

Voice Notes

Inbuilt logging feature allows for quick voice note taking, which can be accessed later in the office. The data is paired with the logged E- and H-fields so specific exposure conditions can be easily tagged.

Grippy Design

Custom bevelled design that fits tightly into your hand with a textured soft elastomer surface and grip ridges ensuring no fumble moments.

Data Logging

Advanced E- and H-field data logger records all exposure measurements so that they can be easily accessed over a USB connection to a PC in the office. Additionally, the data can be viewed in real-time over the USB connection with the PC application.

Fall-detection & Alarm

Inbuilt fall-detection system that sounds an alarm if a fall is detected. The alarm can be silenced if you are conscious; if not, it alerts those in the vicinity so rescue actions can be initiated quickly, helping reduce the risk of suspension trauma.

FieldSENSE Software

View, Analyze, and Manage Your RF Exposure Data

The FieldSENSE Software is a free companion application designed to work seamlessly with the fieldSENSE 2.0 and fieldSENSE60 personal RF monitors. It allows users to download, store, and visualize historical exposure data recorded during field operations. By connecting your device via USB, you can easily access detailed logs showing when, where, and at what levels RF exposure occurred — helping ensure compliance, enhance safety awareness, and support site audits or safety reports.

The software provides a clear overview of exposure patterns over time, enabling technicians, safety officers, and employers to make data-driven decisions about safe working practices around transmitting antennas.
